Former IGP MD Abubakar Visits Zamfara State, Attends Wedding and Funeral of Late Emir of Gusau

The African Democratic Congress (ADC), Zamfara State Chapter, was honored today to receive its respected national elder, mentor, and father, IGP MD Abubakar (Rtd.), during his visit to the state.

The visit was marked by two significant occasions. First, the former Inspector General of Police attended a wedding ceremony, celebrating with families and friends. He later proceeded to join thousands of mourners in offering funeral prayers for the late Emir of Gusau, Dr. Ibrahim Bello, a revered traditional leader and statesman.

IGP Abubakar was warmly welcomed by the ADC State Executive Members, who expressed deep appreciation for his continuous support and guidance. During the visit, the leadership held a fruitful engagement with him, discussing ongoing party activities and reaffirming their collective commitment to peace, unity, and development in Zamfara State.

The ADC Zamfara State Chapter extends its heartfelt gratitude to IGP MD Abubakar for his visit and prays that Almighty Allah continues to bless him with wisdom, good health, and long life.

ADC Begins Distribution of Membership Cards, Registers Across 14 LGAs

  Gusau, Zamfara – July 19, 2025 The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has officially commenced the distribution of membership cards and registration booklets across the 14 Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Zamfara State. The exercise was led by the State Chairman of the party, Hon. Kabiru Garba Gusau , during a strategic meeting held early Saturday morning in Gusau. The meeting brought together LGA chairmen, secretaries, women leaders, youth leaders, and members of the state executive committee. Speaking at the event, Hon. It has become increasingly alarming that these celebrations—particularly those involving our young children—are gradually drifting away from the ethical, cultural, and religious standards expected in our society.
