On behalf of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Zamfara State Chapter, our elder statesman IGP (Rtd) M.D. Abubakar, my family, and the entire Executive and Members of ADC Zamfara State, I extend our heartfelt condolences to the good people of Gusau Emirate and the entire residents of Zamfara State on the passing of the Emir of Gusau, His Royal Highness Sarkin Katsina Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Bello.

The late Emir was not only a traditional ruler but a father figure, mentor, and beacon of wisdom who devoted his life to the service of his people, fostering peace, unity, and development across the state.

We pray that Allah (SWT) grants his noble soul eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdausi and bestows strength upon his immediate family, the Emirate Council, and the people of Gusau to bear this irreplaceable loss.

May his legacy of service, humility, and leadership continue to inspire generations to come.

ADC Begins Distribution of Membership Cards, Registers Across 14 LGAs

  Gusau, Zamfara – July 19, 2025 The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has officially commenced the distribution of membership cards and registration booklets across the 14 Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Zamfara State. The exercise was led by the State Chairman of the party, Hon. Kabiru Garba Gusau , during a strategic meeting held early Saturday morning in Gusau. The meeting brought together LGA chairmen, secretaries, women leaders, youth leaders, and members of the state executive committee. Speaking at the event, Hon. Kabiru Garba Gusau emphasized the need for fairness, transparency, and inclusivity in the distribution process.   By Abdullahi Lawal Bungudu I wish to draw the urgent attention of the Zamfara State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, the Universal Basic Education Board (UBEB), the Ministry for Religious Affairs, and all school principals across the state, regarding the manner in which graduation ceremonies are now being conducted in our schools. It has become increasingly alarming that these celebrations—particularly those involving our young children—are gradually drifting away from the ethical, cultural, and religious standards expected in our society. In many instances, the interactions between boys and girls during such events are inappropriate, and contradict the moral values and teachings of Islam.
