CSACEFA Zamfara Elects New Leadership, Abdullahi Lawali Emerges State Coordinator.
Coalition Pledges Renewed Commitment to Quality Education, Accountability and Civil Society Engagement
GUSAU, ZAMFARA — August 31, 2026: The Civil Society Action Coalition on Education for All (CSACEFA), Zamfara State, has elected a new leadership to pilot the affairs of the coalition and strengthen its advocacy for quality and inclusive education across the state.
The election, which was held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, was conducted peacefully and transparently, with members of the coalition participating actively in the electoral process.
Comrade Abdullahi Lawali of the Health Standard Concern Organization (HESCO) emerged as the new State Coordinator, while Comrade Mansur Sarkin Yaki of the Centre for Community Health and Development Initiative (CCHDI) was elected Deputy State Coordinator.
The newly elected officials are expected to work collectively towards advancing the objectives of CSACEFA in Zamfara State, particularly in the areas of education advocacy, accountability, coordination, partnership, community engagement and the promotion of Education for All.
Speaking on the development, members expressed optimism that the new leadership would provide renewed direction and strengthen collaboration among civil society organisations and other education stakeholders in the state.
The coalition stated that the official election report, containing the complete list of elected officials and other relevant documentation, would be forwarded to the CSACEFA National Secretariat through the official email for necessary records and further action.
The newly elected leadership was congratulated on its emergence, while appreciation was extended to all members, observers and stakeholders who contributed to the peaceful and successful conduct of the election.
The election marks a new chapter in the activities of CSACEFA Zamfara State, as the coalition seeks to deepen civil society participation and advocacy towards ensuring that every child has access to quality, equitable and inclusive education.
