HESCO Commends Zamfara State Government for Townhall meeting on 2026 Budget Preparation.

Gusau, Zamfara State – 14th September 2025:

The Health Standard Concern Organization (HESCO) has commended the Zamfara State Government for the successful conduct of the 2026 Townhall meeting on budget preparations held at JB Yakubu Secretariat, Gusau. The exercise was marked by the active participation of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), Trafitional Leaders, media representatives and other stakeholders.


HESCO noted that the event demonstrates the government’s commitment to inclusive governance, transparency, and participatory decision-making, ensuring that citizens’ voices—channeled through CSOs and the media—are fully represented in policy processes.


Speaking during the hearing, HESCO emphasized that the involvement of CSOs and the media is essential in strengthening accountability, promoting good governance, and driving sustainable development in Zamfara State.


The organization further reiterated its readiness to continue working collaboratively with the government, CSOs, and media stakeholders to advance community development, improve public health, and deepen civic engagement across the state.

ADC Begins Distribution of Membership Cards, Registers Across 14 LGAs
