Gusau, Zamfara – The Zamfara State Chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has pledged to deliver one million votes each to its presidential and gubernatorial candidates in the 2027 general elections.
The commitment was made by the State Chairman, Kabiru Garba Ajiyan Galadiman Gusau, during the party’s Convergence of Coalition Partners held at the Green Cenary Hotel Conference Hall in Gusau.
Galadiman Gusau expressed confidence in the party’s renewed strength, citing recent engagements with coalition partners and grassroots organizations aimed at promoting peace, development, and voter mobilization ahead of the next polls.
“Despite the odds in 2023, we are forging ahead with strong alliances and a shared vision for a better Zamfara and a better Nigeria,” he said. “With our current momentum, we are targeting no less than one million votes for each of our top candidates in 2027.”
The ADC’s gubernatorial candidate was among 14 contestants in the 2023 elections, running without any formal coalition. While the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) emerged victorious with 64,710 votes, ADC leaders believe the experience gained has positioned the party for stronger performance in future contests.
The convergence, themed “Strengthening Alliances for a Better Nigeria,” was organized in line with directives from the ADC national leadership. Similar events are being held across the country to foster collaboration and develop electoral strategies.
Galadiman Gusau reiterated the party's focus on restoring economic growth, ensuring community participation, and delivering credible leadership at all levels.
