NOGALSS Commends Governor Dauda Lawal for Clearing WAEC and NECO Fee Backlogs in Zamfara

The Zamfara State Chapter of the Non-Governmental Association for Literacy Support Services (NOGALSS) has praised Governor Dauda Lawal for his decisive move to clear all outstanding examination fees for WAEC and NECO students in the state.


This bold step has lifted a significant financial burden from thousands of families, ensuring that students can participate in critical examinations without delay. NOGALSS highlighted that this action reflects the Governor’s strong commitment to improving education and providing equal opportunities for all students in Zamfara.


In addition to settling the backlog, Governor Lawal declared a state of emergency on education in Zamfara, signaling his administration’s dedication to tackling systemic educational challenges and promoting long-term reforms.


NOGALSS Chairman, Dr. Ahmad Hashim, expressed deep appreciation on behalf of the organization and pledged continued support to work with the government in promoting literacy and skills development across the state.


This intervention is expected to positively impact the academic futures of many young people in Zamfara, strengthening the foundation for a brighter and more equitable educational system.
