Insecurity in Zamfara: The Silent Crises in Dansadau Emirate

The Dansadau Emirate in Maru local government is under siege not by foreign invaders but by the relentless grip of insecurity. Along the Gusau–Magami–Dansadau road, fear now walks freely where people once moved with peace and purpose. What was once a lifeline for commerce and daily life has become a corridor of terror.

As someone with roots in this emirate, I can no longer stay silent. Families are torn apart, lives are lost daily, and the hope of a better tomorrow is fading. Innocent farmers, traders, children, and the elderly are living in constant fear of bandits who roam unchecked. The cries from our communities echo through the forests, yet they are met with deafening silence from those in power.

We are not asking for miracles only for the most basic responsibility of any government: security. The people of Dansadau emirate deserve to live without fear, to farm their land, to send their children to school, and to travel safely within their own state.

This is a call to the relevant security agencies, the Governor of Zamfara state and to all leaders who swore to protect Nigerian lives  do not abandon Dansadau deploy real security, not empty promises. Let your actions show that every Nigerian life matters, no matter how far from Abuja or Gusau they live.

Enough is enough. We demand urgent intervention before more lives are lost  and more communities destroyed.
