ACOMIN lead ATM Network trained Stakeholders on CLM/CSS operational Modalities in Zamfara State
Gusau, Zamfara State — ACOMIN lead ATM Network trained Stakeholders on CLM/CSS operational Modalities in Zamfara State. The training aimed at empowering communities to play a greater role in the fight against Tuberculosis, Malaria, and HIV/AIDS.
Delivering a keynote address at the opening of the training, the Deputy State Coordinator of the TB Network, Abdullahi Lawali Bungudu, emphasized that TB, Malaria, and HIV/AIDS remain major public health challenges in the state and across Nigeria. He noted, however, that community-driven solutions can change the narrative.
“Community-Led Monitoring empowers affected populations to actively assess the quality of health services, identify gaps, and ensure accountability in service delivery,” he said. “Community Systems Strengthening, on the other hand, builds the capacity of organizations and networks to respond effectively. Stronger communities mean stronger health systems, and stronger health systems mean better outcomes for TB, Malaria, and HIV/AIDS interventions.”
Mr. Bungudu urged participants to take the training beyond the classroom and apply the skills in their respective communities. According to him, the knowledge gained should be used to improve health services, educate others, and amplify the voices of those most affected.
He commended partners and facilitators for supporting the initiative and called on participants to be proactive, committed, and focused.
The training, he said, represents a vital step toward ensuring that no life is lost to TB, Malaria, or HIV/AIDS in Zamfara State.
