ADC ZAMFARA STATE CHAIRMAN CONDOLES BUNGUDU LGA OVER BARBARIC ATTACK, CALLS FOR IMMEDIATE RESCUE OF KIDNAPPED COUNCIL CHAIRMAN

The Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Zamfara State Chapter, Malam Shehu Maishanu Gulubba, alongside members of the State Executive Committee, has paid a condolence and sympathy visit to the people of Bungudu Local Government Area over the recent tragic incident described by the Chairman as a barbaric, heartless and deeply condemnable act that has brought immense sorrow and anguish to the families of the victims and the entire people of Bungudu Emirate.

The visit was undertaken to express the profound condolences and solidarity of the ADC leadership, candidates and entire membership in Zamfara State with the bereaved families, the Bungudu Emirate Council, the people of Bungudu LGA and all those affected by the unfortunate incident.

The ADC State Chairman, who expressed deep sadness over the loss of lives, prayed Almighty Allah to forgive the deceased, grant them Aljannatul Firdausi, and give their families the strength, patience and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

He also offered heartfelt prayers for the safe and immediate return of those who were kidnapped, particularly the Bungudu Local Government Council Chairman, Hon. Nura Umar Nu, praying that Almighty Allah protect him and all other abducted persons and reunite them safely with their families.

The ADC delegation was received by the Magajin Garin Bungudu, who represented the Emir of Bungudu. The Magajin Garin Bungudu expressed appreciation to the ADC leadership for the visit, describing the gesture as a demonstration of compassion, solidarity and concern for the welfare of the people of Bungudu at a very difficult moment.

The condolence and sympathy visit was also attended by members of the Bungudu Local Government Council, notably the Councillors representing Bungudu, Sankalawa and Samawa Wards, as well as the Member representing Bungudu West Constituency and members of the families of the kidnapped Local Government Council Chairman.

In the entourage of the ADC State Chairman were three Zonal Vice Chairmen, the State Secretary, the State Women Leader, the state youth leader, the State Organising Secretary, the ADC Bungudu Local Government Chairman and his executive team, as well as the ADC candidates for Bungudu West and Bungudu East.

Speaking during the visit, Malam Shehu Maishanu Gulubba strongly condemned the barbaric act and expressed the party's deep concern over the deteriorating security situation affecting communities across the state.

He called on the Federal Government, Zamfara State Government and relevant security agencies to intensify coordinated efforts to secure the release and ensure the safe return of the kidnapped Bungudu Local Government Council Chairman and all other persons held in captivity.

The ADC State Chairman further urged governments at all levels to strengthen security presence and intelligence-led operations in Bungudu Local Government Area and other vulnerable communities across Zamfara State, stressing that the protection of lives and property must remain the highest priority of government.

He appealed to the security agencies to remain committed to their constitutional responsibility of protecting citizens, while calling on communities to continue supporting lawful security efforts through timely sharing of credible information that could assist in preventing attacks and securing the safe release of abducted persons.

The ADC leadership extends its deepest sympathy to the bereaved families and the entire people of Bungudu Emirate. The party stands firmly with the affected families and communities during this painful period.

May Almighty Allah forgive the souls of those who lost their lives, grant them Aljannatul Firdausi, comfort their loved ones, and give them the strength to endure this painful loss. May Allah protect all those in captivity, frustrate the plans of their abductors, and grant them freedom and a safe return to their families. May Almighty Allah restore lasting peace, security and stability to Bungudu, Zamfara State and Nigeria. Ameen.
