Zamfara APC Endorses Tinubu as Sole Candidate for 2027 Election

Talata Mafara, Zamfara State — The Zamfara State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the party’s sole candidate for the 2027 general elections.

The decision was reached during a meeting of the party stakeholders in Gusau, following a motion moved by Senator Sahabi Yau (Zamfara North) and seconded by the Member representing Maru/Bungudu Federal Constituency.

Speaking at the event, Senator Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar, leader of the APC in Zamfara State and Senator representing Zamfara West, commended President Tinubu for his steadfast commitment to addressing the nation’s security challenges.

Yari also called for unity among APC members, stressing that success in governance and elections can only be achieved through collective effort and harmony within the party.

In his remarks, Dr. Bello Mohammed Matawalle, former Governor of Zamfara State and the current Minister of State for Defence, urged party members to shun factional politics and embrace peace and cooperation.

According to him, “APC remains one united family in Zamfara State, and together we can build a stronger future for our people and the nation at large.”

The meeting ended with renewed commitment from party leaders and stakeholders to work together in strengthening the APC ahead of the 2027 elections.
