HESCO Urges Zamfara Residents to Collect PVCs

  The Health Standard Concern Organization (HESCO) has called on eligible residents of Zamfara State to collect their Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVCs) from the offices of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) across the state. In a statement signed by its Executive Director, Abdullahi Lawal, the organization described the PVC as “the power of the people,” stressing that it empowers citizens to elect credible leaders and shape the future of both the state and the nation. HESCO emphasized that meaningful participation in the democratic process begins with collecting the PVC and is fulfilled through voting. The organization therefore appealed to all eligible voters who are yet to obtain their PVCs to do so without delay, noting that the card represents their “voice, strength, and future.”

CSACEFA Marks 25 Years of Advocacy for Education in Nigeria.

ADC Chairman Condoles with Gummi Emirate over Boat Tragedy and Bandit Attacks

GUMMI, Zamfara State — The Zamfara State Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Malam Kabiru Garba, yesterday paid a condolence visit to the Gummi Emirate Council following a recent boat tragedy that claimed 13 lives and left three missing, as well as ongoing attacks by bandits in the area. The Chairman was received by ADC executives from Gummi and Bukkuyum LGAs, party members, and well-wishers. At the Emirate Council, he met with the Secretary, to whom he conveyed the party leadership’s condolences on behalf of the state executive and party members. During the visit, Honourable Kabiru Garba expressed appreciation for the warm reception and thanked the people of Gummi for their resilience and solidarity amid these challenges. He prayed for Allah’s mercy on the deceased, asking that they be granted Aljannatul Firdaus, and for comfort and strength for the bereaved families and victims of banditry.
