Politics should take the backseat when it comes to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the citizens. By setting aside personal and political differences, all stakeholders can work together to develop effective strategies to address the root causes of insecurity and banditry.

Moreover, Governor Lawal's readiness to cooperate with former governors and other leaders of the state shows his commitment to inclusivity and the collective interest of Zamfara state. By reaching out to former leaders publicly, and urging them to drop their rivalries, the Governor has demonstrated the importance of putting the greater good above personal or political differences.

By working together, past leaders can bring their experiences, knowledge, and networks to bear in tackling the security issues, allowing for a more comprehensive and holistic approach to the problem.

2. Strengthening Collaboration:

The call for political rivals to join hands with the administration reflects the governor's recognition that collective efforts are necessary to overcome the security crisis. It is crucial for politicians to transcend partisan divides and focus on providing the necessary support to the government's initiatives, be it in the form of legislation, aid or public advocacy. By fostering a collaborative spirit, the state can harness the diverse perspectives and expertise of its political stakeholders to address security challenges more effectively. With joining hands, politicians can create a united front that focuses solely on eradicating these issues. This unity will not only ensure a more coordinated and effective response but will also send a strong message of solidarity to the people of Zamfara state. This act of reconciliation serves as a powerful example to the citizens, promoting a culture of peace, forgiveness, and collaboration.

3. The Role of Islamic Clerics and Traditional Rulers:

Governor Lawal's emphasis on the involvement of Islamic clerics and traditional rulers highlights their influential role in shaping public opinion, moral values, and social cohesion. These influential figures within the community possess the ability to rally their followers and raise awareness about the necessity of combating insecurity through both prayer and tangible actions.  Harnessing their spiritual influence, Zamfara State can galvanize a collective commitment towards peace, harmony, and security.

4. Seeking Divine Intervention:

Religion plays a significant role in the lives of people in Zamfara state, and prayer serves as a source of hope, guidance, and strength. By drawing the attention of religious leaders to the importance of prayer to God, the Governor recognizes the spiritual dimension of the current challenges facing the state. Prayer has the potential to bring solace to those affected by the insecurity and banditry, and it can also foster a sense of collective responsibility and determination.

The governor's call for prayers reflects an understanding that promoting peace and security requires more than just material solutions. Turning to almighty God (Allah SWA), individuals and communities can seek guidance, and divine intervention in combating insecurity and banditry. Prayer can foster a sense of unity, compassion, and forgiveness among the people of Zamfara State, encouraging a collective commitment to prioritize the welfare of the state over personal interests.

5. Putting Zamfara First:

Governor Lawal's plea to "put Zamfara first" encapsulates the overarching theme of his message. It serves as a reminder to all stakeholders, be they politicians, religious leaders, or citizens, that the interests of the state should take precedence over individual ambitions. By collaborating with former leaders who have faced similar challenges in the past, Governor Lawal can draw upon their experiences and insights to develop effective strategies to combat insecurity. This cooperation also allows for the sharing of resources, intelligence, and expertise, enabling a coordinated and comprehensive response to the security threats faced by the state. Fostering a culture of selflessness, accountability, and service, Zamfara State can lay the foundations for a stronger, more secure, and prosperous future.
