  The chairman of African Democratic Congress Zamfara state chapter, Hon Kabiru Garba bags another merit award from renowned group, Mayana Youth Development Association. The ceremony took place in Mayana area of Gusau local government on Saturday 30th July, 2022. The chairman of the Association said 'We are presenting this award to you for your tremendous efforts towards the youth's development in the state". In his remarks, Hon Kabiru Garba thanks the leadership and members of the association for the award and assure them in doubling his effort towards the development of the youth in the state and Nigeria at large.     The Gubernatorial candidate of African Democratic Congress Zamfara state Dr. Ahmad Hashim Tsanu, other aspirants and hundreds of party supporters were present at the venue of the ceremony.

The Zamfara State All Progressives Congress has received with utmost pleasure, the dismissal of the Appeal and  Cross Appeal filed by Mahadi Aliyu Gusau demanding the removal of Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle as the governor of Zamfara.by the Appeal Court, Sokoto Division today. The development followed today's judgment delivered by the Appeal Court, Sokoto presided by Justice A A Gumel which  affirmed the earlier judgment of the Federal High Court, Gusau which held that Governor Matawalle can't be removed from office simply because he defected from PDP to the APC. The Court of Appeal in a unanimous  judgment, held that Governor Matawalle has the right to defect to any political party of his choice.   Leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Zamfara state branch has reached out to hundreds of internally displaced  persons at Saminaka and donated food items to them as part of their commitment to ensuring that they were carried along in the sallah celebration. Apart from food stuffs, the party also donated detergents of various categories as well as cash to the selected beneficiaries. The party chairman said, they are not only concern about securing the votes of Zamfara people but rather they have strong concern on the need to ensure that all those displaced by the current wave of armed banditry have been carried along for them to have a clear sense of belonging. He assured that the party will continue to sustain its humanitarian gesture for the less privileged persons in the state. The  Zamfara State All Progressives Congress (APC) has received the news   of the Appeal Court, Sokoto Division reserving its judgment in the appeal filed by the opposition PDP challenging governor Matawalle's defection to APC. The presiding Judge, Justice A A Gumel of the appeal court today reserved judgment till further notice, a case filed by some PDP members seeking the court to remove Zamfara Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle from office. The case which was earlier heard and dismissed by a Gusau Federal High Court was also joined by the impeached Zamfara former deputy governor, Barr. Mahdi Ali Gusau. The appellants who were aggrieved by Matawalle's defection from the PDP to the APC in Zamfara last year, are demanding the court to compel the governor to refund the salaries he collected from the time of his defection to date. Zamfara state chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has today smoothly held its mini congresses for the election of Local Government, State and National delegates. The delegates that will  emerge will take part in the Party’s primaries for State and National Assemblies seats,  Governorship and office of the next President.  The delegates congress held at Aisha Memorial Conference, Hall, Maradun and was attended by Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle, members of the National Committee of the party, INEC officials and security agencies under a peaceful atmosphere.
