By  Yusuf Idris Gusau   The All Progressives Congress APC in Zamfara has said it times without number, the intentions of the former governor Abdulaziz Yari group to scuttle the progress of the party in the state since his failure to dismember the leadership structure which followed the party's constitution and due process to make His Excellency, Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle MON leader of the party being the sitting chief executive of the state. Matawalle's emergence was definitely the will of God, but some belief they can undo this Omnipotent will, ending up with nothing and by nothing. We sincerely thank God however for exposing them in good time as they are beginning to release pictures of them registering as the opposition PDP members with the possible intentions of contesting under its banner in the 2023 general elections in the state. April 6th, was the day His Excellency, Dr Bello Mohammed (Matawallen Maradun, Barden Hausa, Shattiman Sakkwato) received His Eminence, Sultan Sa'ad Abubakar 111 in Gusau to perform two important functions at the Government House which, invariably, underscore one of the cardinal responsibility of a responsible administration anywhere in a society such as ours. No doubt, traditional rulers and the Clergy are the Bedrock of cohesion in our society. Their welfare and wellbeing largely determines the action and direction of followership. There is hardly any Muslim Notherner that does not either look upon one clergy or a traditional ruler to determine his action or inaction in the society. Hence, they form the compass for the direction to which we all follow. PDP supporters drawn from Zamfara in particular as well as from other places were today seen wearing long, distressed faces as they walked out of the premises of the Abuja High Court 5 in abject disappointment. The event was to be a suit instituted by the PDP and Barr Mahadi Aliyu Gusau (sacked Zamfara deputy governor) seeking the court to remove His Excellency, Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle MON as Zamfara governor following his constitutionally backed defection from the PDP to the APC in July, 2021. It can be recalled that several crashed attempts numbering over 50 and still counting court cases were processed by the PDP the latest being today's. At today's sitting which was anxiously awaited, Hon. Justice Ekwo Iyang, the Presiding Judge who appeared ever ready to dispense off cases, looked at the faces of the PDP crowd and hit them with the fact that his attention had been drawn to a 'pending application for joinder' filed by some applicants ...

  By Yusuf Idris Gusau  (An opinion) Without negotiating north, without negotiating south, the boasting, gear one cap wearing that went with akimbored hidden hands, flanked by his shoe carrying supposed party chairman who lived in the dream that his acting chairmanship position was a right that was challengeable in court having received callous assurances by their lawyer that the acting capacity was a mandate and with the right cash, he would certainly get it back, alaaasss!!! Like a snowman sprinkled with salt, all those guys who stubbornly refused to abide by the APC directive to revalidate their membership or lose it all, have now chickened away burying their faces at who knows where. Their boss, Yari, while playing god, once in 2019, ahead of the last general elections, had allocated who would occupy what elective positions, sacked some from his list for not bowing down to the god's whims, like the respective cronies and forced yet others to leave the party at an election ...
