The ceremony took place in Mayana area of Gusau local government on Saturday 30th July, 2022. The chairman of the Association said 'We are presenting this award to you for your tremendous efforts towards the youth's development in the state".   Leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Zamfara state branch has reached out to hundreds of internally displaced  persons at Saminaka and donated food items to them as part of their commitment to ensuring that they were carried along in the sallah celebration. Apart from food stuffs, the party also donated detergents of various categories as well as cash to the selected beneficiaries. The party chairman said, they are not only concern about securing the votes of Zamfara people but rather they have strong concern on the need to ensure that all those displaced by the current wave of armed banditry have been carried along for them to have a clear sense of belonging. The  Zamfara State All Progressives Congress (APC) has received the news   of the Appeal Court, Sokoto Division reserving its judgment in the appeal filed by the opposition PDP challenging governor Matawalle's defection to APC. The presiding Judge, Justice A A Gumel of the appeal court today reserved judgment till further notice, a case filed by some PDP members seeking the court to remove Zamfara Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle from office. The case which was earlier heard and dismissed by a Gusau Federal High Court was also joined by the impeached Zamfara former deputy governor, Barr. Mahdi Ali Gusau. The appellants who were aggrieved by Matawalle's defection from the PDP to the APC in Zamfara last year, are demanding the court to compel the governor to refund the salaries he collected from the time of his defection to date.   Former Zamfara governor Yari’s move to defect from the ruling APC to the main opposition PDP has suffered a setback following the refusal of the PDP stakeholders involved in the negotiations to accept Yari’s attempt to takeover all the structures of the PDP in the state. The former governor was strongly and roundly accused of causing the lost of the APC at the 2019 elections in the state where he single-handedly appointed who was to occupy all the elective positions which later led to a Supreme Court ruling that sacked all the APC elective positions in that election. On the 03/03/2022 at about 1330hrs, complaints were received from three people of different addresses within Kano Metropolis, that sometimes in January 2022, someone wore Police Uniform with name tag "Abdullahi Sarari", went to their shops, made purchases of goods worth One Hundred and Four Thousand Naira (N104,000:00), collected their bank account details and claimed to have respectively made transfers to their various bank accounts.
